A Timeless Love Story

book cover Theresa Bordils, a teen orphaned at 12, lives within the safety of the Convent in Palma, Majorca. When the Office of the Inquisitor uncovers her activities in Magick, she is sentenced to burn at the stake, just like all the other witches. However, Theresa is not a normal human. She has been trained by Melchior, the Wizard, to the Brilliant Arts and is a graduate of the Second Level. She can walk through solid objects, shape shift into any animal she wishes, and move her soul through time and space.

Teri is a grad student working on a PhD in History. As her advisor’s best student, she is invited to Majorca, Spain on an archaeological dig. Since her research thesis is about the Inquisition in Palma, she is thrilled to accept. Little does Teri know that her past life as Theresa Bordils will come crashing down on her when she explores the Majorcan Caves.

Vanayssa Somers has created a timeless love story between Teri and the Faery Prince, Melchior. While weaving pagan magical arts into her novel, the passion and love between Teri and Melchior melt the pages as Teri learns about her past and her amazing abilities.

Somers has a unique ability to describe a love scene that will turn toes. Her writing talent draws readers in from first to last page as we hold our breath when Theresa is hunted by the medieval Inquisitor and later as Teri become the love object of Antonio Herrera, a “glowingly handsome” Professor of Psychology at the university near Palma. Will his love interests in Teri derail her future with Melchior?

Pagan Flames is a fantasy about a love spanning centuries with magic tossed into the fire to hold the attention of fantasy fans and romantics, alike.
