A YA Romance Novella

Pressley James finds her dream job—working as a social media marketer for Paws and Claws Animal Shelter. On her first day at work her new boss, Janet, informs her about Hayden and Jasper, warning, “…both are off limits!”

Janet describes Hayden as “quite the looker,” and “the only full-time fella.” But he keeps to himself and Pressley needs to respect that.

According to Janet, “Jasper’s a lost cause. We don’t like to see any animal put down, but sadly, there’s no hope for him.” Jasper is a German shepherd/mastiff mix that will bite anyone who comes close.

However, Jasper seems to like Pressley and Hayden gravitates to the young woman, too, and begins to open up, something he hasn’t done since his fiancé, Shaun, died in a traffic accident two years prior.

Last Chances, a novella by USA Today best selling author Jeanne Bannon, tells about the romantic story of Pressley and Hayden and their mutual love of animals. Their effort to save the life of a loveless dog is inspiring.

Set in a small town in rural South Carolina, Bannon does a superb job of character development showing readers the lives of her three main characters and how they begin to care for each other.

If you love YA romance and looking for a quick read that will keep you riveted from page 1 to page 132, Last Chances is highly recommended.
