We Are One
Opt for Oneness by Dr. Michael Aaron Mason is written in a warm personal tone that makes the novel resonate deeply with the soul. Readers are invited for a weekend workshop in Marina del Rey, a suburb of Los Angeles. We immediately meet two speakers. First, Tatiana, a charismatic Ukrainian woman and then her husband, Steven Cohen, who is best known as Dr. Oneness.
Together Tatiana and Dr. Oneness explore themes of separation, perception, and energy with the core proposition, “What if the root of all suffering is simply a misperception?”
During the workshop we meet the OPTees, fictional characters learning about metaphysical and scientific reflections. They study OP Truths or Oneness Perception Truths such as All is Energy; All is Perception, and All is One.
The book puts spiritual concepts into dialogue inviting the reader to experience the truth rather than just absorb theories. Mason does this by bringing together ancient wisdom, modern science, metaphysics, spirituality, and many practical tools you can actually use.
The book’s tone is invitational asking the reader to participate or to opt in. We learn that separation is a misperception, and that oneness is the key to lasting peace. This has deep echoes into many spiritual traditions, like Buddhism, for example. This reviewer felt refreshed with hopefulness, especially during this time of national and world division.
OPT for Oneness is oriented toward readers open for spiritual growth. Its tone invites heart-opening inner peace and consciousness. It’s a thoughtful spiritually-oriented book that invites you to do deep inner work. If you are willing to engage with metaphysical language and story rather than a bullet-point how-to—then OPT for Oneness will become the most meaningful book, you’ll read this year. It’s fast paced, entertaining, and enlightening!

Looks like a self-help book disguised as a novel.
You are so right. That was what I thought while reading it.
