Al Clark (Book One)

Al Clark wakes up in a coffin with amnesia soon to discover he’s on a spaceship and his “coffin” is a hibernation pod designed for long flights in space. Within a short time, Al realizes he’s on a ship with the objective of colonizing a planet light year from Earth. However, the ship should have arrived at the planet 10 years earlier and the other sleepers were malfunctioning and people quietly dying. With the help of Chris, an 18-year-old boy, whose hibernation pod also malfunctioned, they begin the slow process of awaking the crew.

Jonathan G. Meyer’s Al Clark (Book One) launches readers into an imaginative blend of science fiction, mystery, and survival. Meyer does a beautiful job building suspense through Al’s amnesia as he learns about his past and his importance to the colony. The characterization is well done, descriptions of the planet are clear, and the dialogue adds to this character driven science-fiction adventure. 

By the book’s end, many mysteries are revealed leaving readers eager to continue Al Clark’s adventures in Al Clark- Avalon (Book Two).

Jonathan G. Meyer Al Clark (Book One)

Jonathan G. Meyer is a Midwestern author with a life-long passion for Science Fiction. As the middle child in a family with seven children, he spent many hours alone. Traveling to exotic worlds, exploring alien ships, and futuristic adventures with robots became his escape.

Now retired, his love for classical science fiction allowed him to write his first book at 60 years old. Al Clark is the kind of story capable of transporting the reader to new worlds and exciting adventures. His goal is to write good Old-Fashioned Science Fiction.

The success of Al Clark (Book One) prompted him to add to the series with books two, three, four, and five, plus a short prequel titled ‘Christopher’s Journal’. In addition, he has published a standalone Alien Contact story titled ‘Vincent’, and an Alternate History Adventure he named, ‘A Curious Orb’.
